After seeing the video of the carbon jobbies and comparing it to the silver paintjob @Chimaera500 got done, i think with the silver it looks great, sadly mine is a black exterior so carbon is defacto!

This is the website but I ordered from the guy before this site was up and running.
They did take a while to turn up (5 months) but that was mostly the china side of things and covid induced delivery times. I was provided with tracking number so could follow the very slow travels they package took. But the delivered items really are top notch and weave matched the carbon in the GS.
There are a few U.K. guys that have them fitted from what I have seen on FB groups.

If I'm not mistaken its the guy in the video that had the carbon seat backs made. He is on Maserati life as lambertius
I think he used to be on here too but I don't think he is anymore.

I did consider going for a set but they are fairly expensive. Look great though.

Yep agree that my approach wouldn't work so well on certain other colours.. I would go carbon with a black car too.

That’s the guy, yes expensive, but they are custom made small batch products so no surprise really, I couldn’t fault them once they turned up tbh, they look OEM.

so the lower cost option is blood sweat and tears stripping back the sticky coating and then hand over to a paintshop. is there not a wrap the bare plastic alternative? maybe the wrap wont adhere to the bare plastic?

Wrap will be 100% fine as long as you get the original soft touch coating all off.

I painted my seat backs myself. Great results are possible with a bit of practice and the right paint/ lacquer, followed by a wet sand and polish. Was more work again though, but very rewarding when all back together!
Car is no longer owned by me. I miss it :(
