Does anyone know how to remove the back of the front seats a sticky backing needs sorting

Yes, Its all fairly intuitive when you get up close. Have a look at the video below. 4.20 on shows how to take them apart.


Mine had gone a tiny bit sticky and had picked up lots of marks so I had a go at refinishing them. Getting the original black stuff off is by far the hardest part of the job. I tried all sorts, but found that brake fluid softened the original black coating only just enough to help remove with a scraper. The plastic and basecoat of the seats remained completely unaffected, but be very careful not to get brake fluid on anything else, esp your car paintwork!

Horrible job and many many hours work, but well worth the effort in the end. Here are mine after being re finished in Argento Luna to match the rest of the car.
