GRANDTURISMO MC SHIFT - F1 BOX DEIS - ONLY FOOLS RUSH IN !

Hi Steve

Sound advice - Thanks - Yep need the ECU fixed or investigated.

I did notice on the Launch Ferrari 430 Software there is a function that reads and copy's the ECU data.

Upload / Download - Wondered about using it to see if it would read my ECU - BUT - Thought better of it - Would rather someone who is familiar with the process advise.

Its not listed on the Maserati software -I wonder if its been an improvement to the Ferrari software to record and copy the DEIS data before committing to the function further to similar loss of data on Ferrari Clutch Change and Diagnostic works.

Upload/Download no good after bricking. Even if uploaded before failed DEIS, it’s risky without knowing what it uploads and downloads in reality.

Thanks Steve.....got my sons timing chain and guides to do on his cooper s R53 before he starts driving next month ...Then my ramp is free and the GT is getting sorted....no real info out there on the F1 clutch job from start to finish in terms of a DIY step by step so will get it posted on this forum.....

Thank You Jam-Mez.....thats great info and I will no doubt about it be reading it a few times over.....Found a good you video also last night but this is better....Much appreciated.
Dont forget this is quite a bit of F1 info in the M145 workshop manual section of our technical library. You already have the link i think if not I can reahare.

That looks to be a great link above...but compare it to what you read elsewhere

Information on the oil level etc is all in that section.

As you work through this for the benefit of the community please share what you learn.

For example my F1 fluid...is 15 years old. I need to at least check the level suck some out and add more without bleeding. Also the kiss point procedure seems excessive do people really do this, etc, etc

A question for everyone. Looking further at that awesome link from @Jam-Mez I read about the actuator and one of the symptoms is failure to complete self learning. See screenshot

Can we take this opportunity to educate me please....What particular self learning is being referred to here would it be the inability to do the F1 grid?
