Just watched S3E04

Amazing, sobering, exhilarating, tearful.

I’ll let you enjoy it and you will know the bit I mean when you see it.

Well done GT a truely stunning piece of historical cinematography.

Columbia ep 1 was puerile and embarrassing. Part 2 was better. What a beautiful looking country, though.

I'm pleased that ep4 is being more warmly received by those whose views I value. I'll line it up.

Agreed. What a contrast (Ep 5) with the dire episodes thus far. Shows what Wilman and co can do when they're not pratting around.

That stomach!

I enjoyed it but the old manufacturing parts of Detroit were depressing. The centre looked ok but houses for sale for $2k? Terrifying! Anyone who thinks a city or a state is powerful and stable really needs to think twice. Economic diversity is critical.

Anyway, I enjoyed it but suspect I'll enjoy next week's special to Columbia (I think) more.

The decline of Detroit, quite amazing and rather scary

Have you guys seen the TV show Abandoned? they did a great piece on detroit - in fact the whole series is rather good and again, all a bit sobering. The size of america and just sheer scale of everything out there never ceases to amaze me.

Did I watch the same episode 4?

I found it a bit boring tbh... maybe I should watch it again and pay more attention.

The Columbia double episode was not that bad, I mean they played the part of the fool(s) as normal but after 20 years of "new top gear"/Grand Tour I just tune that out

Episode 5 is very good ,about 1/3 of the show is about Jim Clark and his achievements and it is fascinating , what a loss to motorsport he was

Some early footage of oulton park in it , the Avenue is aptly named with trees either side of the track for added instant death risk

I watched it last night and have no clue what you’re referring to?…

Still enjoyed the show though!

Agreed on Ep5. Really enjoyed the piece about Jim Clark, a truly remarkable driver. They could ditch Conversation St for me though.

Agreed on Jim Clark. I love watching stuff like that. Amazing driver and as Senna how many more races and championships would he have one. At only 32 when he died he had so many years left in him.

I find it very hard to stop the tears and failed miserably then!

I agree the conversation street needs ditching, changing replacing or freshening up.

Ep 5 was good because of the Jim Clark piece. What a bloody legend lives on for that man! The Alpine review was pretty interesting, likewise Urus but why the **** do they have to be quite that puerile? That’s our job!
