I very rarely buy a lottery ticket but yesterday I decided to have a go, the hour before the draw the wife and I spent a good hour looking at houses to buy with our winnings, not because we want a new house but we do not have the garaging for the cars we should be out buying today!!!
Anyway whilst browsing pistonheads for a GT she saw a GC and very nearly wet herself!!!!!!!

We didn't win but she loves the Cabrio we have a little one so having the four seats sealed the deal for her,
How long have they been around? Are any of the older cabrio four seater I'm thinking 4200/

Would anyone consider a swap deal involving a house and a slightly leggy 4200?!!!!!!!!

Tony came out in 2010 I believe so still young.....Did see one for sale on ebay for 47k but most early ones start with 5.....Only thing with the GC is the boot....or lack of it and they are all Auto so not MC shift...

What's the difference between the auto on these and say the CC on my 4200 is it a standard auto no padels?

Slush box!
Maybe a bit unfair these days to call them that but yes an automatic with torque converter.

What about the 4200 spyder? Is that effectively the same as the coupe with regards to seating?

Ignore that just looked at one on fleabay no rear seats!

Totally agree. Gorgeous machine but the boot is ridiculous for such an enormous car. Only holds a briefcase, so if you are doing any touring you have to risk your luggage being carried on the back seat of a soft top, which is not ideal when you park the car....

The GC is a full Auto but they do have paddles...........

The 4200 Spyder CC is the same as the 4200 CC...but yes two seats

We are talking about a women who currently owns a mini convertible and a Lotus Elise, Ill break the bad news about the boot but I don't think it will be a deal breaker!! She drove the Elise until she was eight months pregnant then once the baby was one she used to have the baby and a weeks shopping in it!! To have her favourite car she will make compromises, the £50k is much more of a deal breaker!! May have to wait a while maybe get a GT in few years time then work our way up.
