Grancabrio beeping like hood is open over 20mph

Hi All,

I have a sporadic issue where the hood operation beeps like Im opening or closing over the 20mph limit, but Ive not had the roof open for some time. It doesnt happen all the time, and sometimes stops, so to me it seems like a sensor issue, anyone else had this issue and what it might be.>./

I took to my local independant garage, but they had a fault code for the hood not closing properly but thats it.

Do you know where the sensors are? Perhaps give them a wipe.
Turn the battery off for half hour perhaps.
I’ve got a Spyder and if it’s anything like your roof workings it’s got a mind of its own.
Sorry I can’t be much help but my guess it will be a cheap fix, the things are just temperamental.

There haven't been many Grancab owners on here. @Ewan I think has been through a couple so this might be something he's familiar with, otherwise @conaero might have seen this issue before.

It could be grumbling because it hasn't been open for sometime . Alternatively the guys at Hoodtech, Cheshire are also good with technical issues from what I saw when up there recently
