Not sure if its a dog..not seen it...but the service history and the 90k/70k saga is a concern.

Yeah, odd really. Perhaps the owner thinks it looks too cheap at £20k. I think the chap has been trying to sell it on and off for a year or so. I suspect it would sell at sub £20k, but if it was mine, I think i'd resent selling it at that - what can you get for that money to come even close to these cars?

I'm with you on this GD. the mileage on a car would not nececeraly put me off , unless the price did'nt reflect the mileage.
I did 328000 miles on a 2.0ltr ford scorpio estate till the seal on the gearbox went. untill then I had hardley no problems with that car

Your loss, its a modern car with a modern engine, should be good for another 110K easily if the paperwork stacks up...

Nevertheless ...even if engine strong, the cost of ancillaries repair and other worn items can certainly be hefty to repair

I reckon the seller has had some work done to it in the meantime (serviced maybe as it was due one albeit one costing double the increase) and so he is now perhaps looking to recoup it through the asking price??

It happened just as I got into an undergound car park in Dawson street, managed to get enough traction to get back out onto the street. the garage wanted 2500 euro to fix it & said it would take about 2 months.
I sold them the car for the cost of recovory + a 92 escort that was on their fore court...............they didn't even have the good manners to wear a mask.
the escort lasted 2 months & whats left of it is probably now burnt out in a lane between blanchardstown & leixslip where I left it.

Dont worry about that Frank, I laugh at that myself................I also laugh still at the expression on my 1st borns face when I walked in that night, kicked him awake from his half man/ half sofa impersonation , threw him the keys to the aforementioned escort & told him I had bought him a sports car. Never seen anybody leave a building so fast. I guess Esta Ranzen got a call from him later.
