Colour always divides opinion. I’ve never known anyone dislike Med Blu but 3 people have said their wives didn’t like it in the last 3 days. We’ve always got our eye out for Granturismos, I’ve another one due in but it’s a 2016 so considerably dearer. Hope I’m able to find something to your liking.

My wife loves Med Blue, but has told me in no uncertain terms that I'm not buying the one you have Dickie. I need to wait for my work stuff to come to fruition.

Wow - for once I’ve been off the forum for the day, and have just read this.

The comments about the wheels have made me laugh. When I had the car they were black and I kept deliberating whether to change them. I personally think Silver looks stunning on it, and wish I had done it when it was mine.

I’m happy to talk to anyone about the car or its history, and I can vouch for the fact that Dicky has spent quite a bit on the car to fix / improve various things, and the car is now even better than it was. As many of you know, I’ve switched to a GS, and the only reason for me selling the car was I fancied a change and trying something smaller...

Love the car but I'm afraid that I'm in the Grigio Mercury camp as well. Not a fan of silver wheels any more unless ball polished. Don't like black wheels much though but OK on a white car though.

My Alfa GT wheels are mid grey, 4200 the same, XJL the same. Makes a massive positive difference IMHO.

Why the change of heart on the car mentioned in the original post? It looks lovely, and is low mileage and good spec. Negotiate it to £38k and you’ll be very happy.

Good point Ewan.
No-one was trying to put you off the original car.
You asked for what to look out for, so we answered. The list would be the same no matter who/where you bought it from.
Obviously a forum recognised/recommended dealer will have a good reputation to keep and will know the cars inside out, hence people making the recommendations.
If you was going to look at it, do so anyway. At least you would have something to compare to when viewing others and it will get you in the swing of looking at whats what.

I'm in the same camp...Grey for me. Silver for me always made the car look sort of weak. The darker shades give it a bit more aggression and sportiness for me.

Have never understood the notion of an aggressive or mean looking car. Mike Tyson was mean. Dennis Rodman, Colin Croft, etc., etc., were aggressive, nasty, etc , etc. A car .... really? They can be beautiful yes but mean, err, not really.

OK, Mike Tyson in silver shoes. From mean to as camp as a row of big frilly tents in the time it takes to mince into a new pair of loafers.

QED.

Its all in the 'face'. Some cars look happy, some sad, some mean or aggressive. I do see that in cars. Although, I don't understand referring to them as She or He like they are actually people. Its a machine.

Exactly, it's a machine. Too many view such things as a pen1s extension.

I like the silver Stradale wheels. I'd be leaving it alone. It's a stand out car and looks even more special with those wheels.

So there.

Not on commission, no, just Believe the best Granturismo’s are late non facelift cars with the MC auto software gearbox (& MY 12 seats).
Disagree, the best is by far the MC Shift box, just so much more involving and the blips on downchange and pops are addictive. Put 599 software on and it gets even better.
