Glovebox door not dropping

Has anyone else hit (and preferably solved) this issue? The glovebox latch is fine, but the door only drops about an inch. Applying any pressure after that feels like it's flexing something that shouldn't be flexed.

Fortunately I can just about get a finger in there to apply to the fuel flap button.

There is a box that used to be part of the GPS which is velcroed to the panel that forms the “roof” of the glovebox. If this has dropped down toward the back it might foul the back of the the glovebox door. The back of the door goes up and the front goes down. It is to the right hand side of the glovebox.

Thanks Zep, that was it. It seems placement of the GPS unit is critical - too far forward and the glovebox won't close, too far back and it won't open! I must have nudged it back at some point.
