Giving serious thought to fitting spacers on the Granturismo; is 22mm front/30mm rear too much?

AND the hub via a through threaded hole.

My understanding (could be wrong) is that because you will never get the threads in the two holes to align perfectly you won't be able to get maximum clamping force. This is the same in any analogous situation. Put two nuts in a fixed orientation in a vice and run a bolt through them. Then try to get the nuts properly tight to each other without twisting one.

(Again my understanding) wheels are only held on by the bolts. The clamping force creates friction between the hub and the wheel that that's what transmits the drive. Not the studs (particularly) themselves.

Looking at some on the market, I've realised that you only have 5 holes in the hub...so 'my' solution would need 10, which requires more modification... so is probably rubbish.

Des' ( @Dman666 ) solution of more offset on your wheel is probably better than spacers, an even better solution would be for car manufacturers to fill the hole properly!

Hello Beps
I found them on ebay, from tunershop-worldwide, after doing a search for 'Maserati Granturismo wheel spacers'; there should be a couple in each size still available ( there were when I bought them last night). I hope that helps you.
kind regards
