Morning,
I taxed it on Saturday and thought i would take it out, but it wasn't to be.
Car started fine, revved smoothly but when you took your foot of the accelerator it just stalled.
Before getting it out the garage again, any pointers of things to look at ?
thanks
I realized I understood the problem upside down.
If the engine dies when you release the accelerator then:
- not enough air "leak": idle valve does not open AND the air bypass not open enough (which means any air leak will prevent from stalling)
- throttle position sensor does not detect the "idle" position (means pedal released)
- could be a bad temperature sensor: air or water
