Ghibli running costs

It's probably been done to death but would those of you running Ghibli's please give me some idea of running costs over a 12month period & the servicing costs.
My wife has just been accepted to uni & will be there full time for the next 4 years. This will of course affect finances available for cars & I'd like to know if it's still feasible or to wait till she's graduated & get one then (If there's any still about by then)

Cheers

Today is a great day. I've just bought back the QP V that I sold in Nov 2011 and always regretted selling. However unlike Ewan I don't have space for more than one Maserati at a time so my Ghibli will have to go. If any Forum member is prepared to pay me the £4500 I paid for the car a few years ago they can have the benefit of the thousands spent with Autoshield and McGraths on the rolling restoration over the last 2.5 years. If not it will have to go on PH/E Bay/Autotrader. For those who don't know the car is a 1993 serie 1a auto Ghibli (non ABS) in Dark Aquamarine with a grey interior. There are plenty of pictures on the forum but if anybody wants any further info PM me.

ooh!

could be the start of a beautiful relationship!

Well- I never thought you'd get rid of that Arfa; any shots of the new steed?

Could be Jim, the car looks that good in photos that even I may forget my need for a manual gearbox :)

To be honest Jim I may not because I'm only prepared to let it go to a good home. Pictures of the "new steed" below. Not everybodys cup of tea but I am ecstatic.

I've never seen one that colour before, if anyone had just described it I would have said it sounds horrid. But seeing it, it's actually a great colour for the QP!

that is a terrific colour!

I'd definitely have gone for that- well done; quite a find; I've never seen one like that before.

Rarity in an otherwise quite 'popular'/successful Maserati.

Its called Quartzo Dolomite Dem. It is a 3200 colour :numberone: which the original owner paid an extra £2500 to have. As far as I know there is this one and one more in the US in this colour.

The best part is as it's done very few miles since I sold it I still get the benefit of the new clutch, tyres and brakes I put on it!!:goodnews:

I have been tempted to buy back my first 4200 which I sold in May 2011. It has only done 4.5k since and has had a new clutch but sadly no service...but decided it may just be fond memories and I may have been disappointing in reality...hope your return is a belter.
