no affiliation, looks like that would be a lot of work and is quite rusty. The Series1a headlights would make my teeth itch. Pretty rare in yellow though

Yellow is the only good thing. Not a viable resto that imho.

Thought the same Dicky. Saw it the other day and back in the day I nearly bought a yellow one. Looks great in yellow but for that one that is probably it. Good knows what lurks beneath.

Are you joking guys or are ghibli gt priced less than 10k gbp in the UK ? Not a viable resto ? What he lists as problems is very common and there are plenty of running ghibli and qp4 (I'd say more than 50%) that have the same cracks (see my thread about this).
6500 gbp is a good price to me.

It would need at least £5k on a repaint, probably more. Then it may be worth £10-12k to someone. That’s without spending a bean on mechanicals and electrical issues. I speak from experience having restored 3 over the last 5 years all of which lost us money.

Ps it’s about £800 to refurb the split rim cup wheels and I’m sure it needs a cambelt change. Doesn’t matter now anyway, someone has bought it.

But it's a good price. Like the guy says a winter project for a skilled person.
Paying someone to solve issues on these cars is a black hole. I bought mine after the guy had put 30keuros on repairs (looked nice all over but broken under the painting) and I had to rebuild the front of the car (like in the yellow one) and to replace the engine.

You’d have to be incredibly well skilled to do a bare metal repaint of a 30 year old car which is showing signs of rot.

The painting looks good except in few common places. It can be done at home. It won't be perfect but would be good enough for a 6500 £ car. Most of these cars look good but are junk inside. If it's possible to make yourself an opposite configuration for 6500 it's a good deal.

Easily the worst condition Ghibli mkII I've seen in years. In theory, a big bag of brave pills and a fat wallet could fix this (all be it completely uneconomic to do so). But then there are the parts that are NLA, so that won't help.
Having had 4 of these, and 4 of the very similar QPIV, I recommend running away from this particular one, quickly.

Back on eBay, minus the Cup Speedline wheels, and at a higher price:

Selling without an MOT so presumably too rotten to pass, otherwise you’d pay the £45. Would need a proper look at the subframe mounting area it’s failed on before.
