Depends how they do it. If it is a 3 litre v6 TT with a decent electrical shove it should be interesting..

The same people that bought the diesels.

Whether people like it or not the current future is hybrid and battery electric.

I am looking forward to it too.

Anything new from Modena will be good.

I expect the body and interior will be new too. Might finally meet all our expectations.

I read somewhere that one version will be a 320 HP 2litre 4 cylinder engine based on the Alfa Giulia engine plus what ever is added by the electrical system.

I retract my previous comment then!

4cyl Maserati, that’s going to bomb if true. 8 to 6 was hard enough to swallow.

Given how well my 330e goes with that layout it should be quite rapid. Will sound **** though!

If it is a 2litre it will only be part of the range which will perhaps replace the Diesel. European regulations are forcing manufacturers down this path.

Always saw maserati as special due to their engines with (at times) a nice body too.

Electric has zero appeal, and a 4 pot hybrid even less... may as well buy the euro box.

I moved away from Alfa as they only had 4s :(

I agree a 4 cylinder doesn't sound appealing.. however. Things are very different now. Look at that Mercedes amg a class. That is a 2 litre 4 cylinder and has mental BHP... is it 345?

From looking at the teaser picture on the email, it looks as though it will be the same body. Any changes beyond the drivetrain could be more limited to accommodating the batteries etc.

Midday today for the virtual launch of the hybrid - no doubt you've all received your emails?
They're launching a new Trofeo in August too which sounds intriguing

Yep, its a souped up Alfa 4 pot but the overall numbers are impressive (325BHP and the economy of the diesel)

Proof will be in the driving.

Design wise its not that different from the current model inside and out. I like the boomerang lights on the back :)

Yes & the cobalt blue accents on the inside & outside are nice too

Anybody else think that yet again Maserati have fluffed it and produced something nobody wants. I was expecting a proper hybrid.
