Ghibli cup steering wheel

I'm thinking of doing a small mod in my QP4. Considering swapping the stock steering wheel to Momo similar to the Ghibli cup. Ideally fit a column extension too as I find my self driving with my arms a little too stretched for my liking.

Could someone advise on the diameter of the Momo corse steering of the Cup?

It’s the D35 (35cm) same as on the integrale Evo. Be carefull as people are asking ridicilious prices for these items but it’s just a standard aftermarket Momo wheel produced to fit many cars/ extension type. Many available but once attached to the Cup or Integrale name the price triples…..

That looks similar to pictures of Cup interiors I've seen on the Internet. Has anyone found something closer to the original?

Also are there other considerations for installation?

A modern Momo is going to look terribly Halfords in the Gentleman's Club interior that is the QP IV. How about going for a wooden Nardi wheel, that’s just a little smaller than the original? It would be more in keeping with car, surely. They do a dished one, that might save the need for a spacer.

Do post what you settle on though as I’d be keen to see it.

I see your point. Something like this below would be suitable next to the wooden dash decorations of the IV.

I agree - the polished metal is perhaps a bit too 1950/60’s. But the black would suit a QP IV well I suspect.

Did the QP4 not come with an airbag ?
Yes. A wooden wheel with a black plastic centre containing the airbag.
In the early cars, at about the 10 o’clock position, there is a little Maserati badge inset into the wooden rim. I’ve always liked that quirk.

Buy both, then you can chop and change as you see fit. I suspect I'd end up with the Maserati one though, as the Nardi badge may look a bit too "after market" for me.

That's what i thought but the sales person I speak to (based in italy) said its too expensive to have both and it would be better to chose!
