Ghibli at the Ring

Had my first proper outing with the Ghibli last week, met up with some old friends from Blighty.
The trip went pretty much without any issues. Found a few more little niggles that need sorting but otherwise all seems to be good :D

Just one small scare on the autobahn on the way home, at around 120mph under full throttle the "check engine" light came on and the car seemed to just cut out (felt like someone stamped on the brakes), but it was only for a fraction of a second. Pulled in at the next services, couldn't see anything wrong, then carried on. Strange one, hopefully it won't happen again. It was very hot that day (around 35°C) maybe that was a factor, although the car wasn't running hot.
I had the check engine ligt come on once before, but at very slow speed on a steep incline. Key off/on sorted that one, put it down to the slope, not sure if the two are related in some way.

Anyway, some pics of the Ghibli in action :)

Very nice. It does look rather at home doesn't it. :) I'll be over in that part of the world early Sept in the 3200. Last time I was over there in the car (usually go on the bike) it developed a squeak from the passenger seat most of the way round!

I'm guessing that would be the human rev limiter in the passenger seat? I've tried to get mine disconnected.

The Ghibli looks particularly flat and stable in these shots - driving skill or non-standard suspension? (Or were you just doodling around slowly!?)

Great looking car
It was this car that got me into Maserati when I was a "Young un"
