Great stuff!
I'd heard the AUS market was more fruitful in this regard - but a bit more tricky to access from here.
Out of interest, what made you think your original ones needed changing?

Oh, sorry spacecadet! Revealing my knowledge of cars that are not Italian there!

That is how it was described to me- obviously not the case then- but the part No.s should sew it up none the less.

How did I know they needed doing?

I didn't- although I 'should have'!

Last year, I continued with my practise of visiting the main dealer for the MOT. The rear a/r bar bushes have been an advisory before but last year they failed. The main dealer took ten days to establish they were no longer available and they couldn't source them from anywhere. They then announced they'd fitted the equivalent set from a period QP IV.

I thought nothing of it and paid the 3 figure sum and drove off..

THIS year, I made no such mistake and went further down the coast to the specialists: P&K Supercars. They promptly announced that the MOT had advised 'significant play' in the rear a/r bar. Shocked- I headed down to investigate.

Turns out the main dealer fitted QP IV bushes are for 15mm anti roll bars, and of course we have 13mm bars on Ghibli's. The bar was waggling about in the bushes, so to speak. I've got a video of it actually, but I'm not sure how to attach that.

Fortunately P&K try harder and now everything is as tight as it should be. Lucky I don't do track days...

Glad to see you're still keeping up the good work on one of my old girls. Given that the best examples now sell for a figure starting with a 4, it's worth your while to keep on top of these jobs.

Hello Ewan,

er no! (we had this conversation over the phone once!)

you owned 400211, as owned by Del Mar on here.

unless you mean 'my old girls' as a generic regard for Ghiblis? In which case; 'yes!' thank you- I like to think I'm on top of all little jobs...!

Useful info thanks.
And for everyone's future reference, the standard ABS/GT ARBs are 16mm Front and 13mm Rear. The Kit Sportivo upgrade changed this to 20mm Front and 17mm rear.
I believe both the pre ABS ghibli and the 3200GT uses a 17mm rear too and these bushes fit the KS rear ARB too.

To make things even more complicated my ABS ARB is 15mm at the rear. Looks like the bushes are not a QP IV only.

Apologies for the thread-dredge!

Does anyone know if these Mitsubishi Pajero 13mm anti-roll bushes do fit the Ghibli (1996 ABS 2.8), and if so what the part number is?

Need them for my MOT, McGrath have no stock, a seller on eBay wants a kidney for a pair, and I'm still drawing blanks elsewhere. Thanks all.

Can’t answer your question directly but you can buy ARB mounts by size, get the tape out.

Doh! Couldn't see for looking! It was in the picture at the top of the page.

For anyone else searching for the part number for these roll-bar bushes, it's:

SPF5450-13K

Sorry gentleman, I realized you were referring to the original 'kit sportivo' for the Ghibli and not an after market ARB
