I went a couple of years again. Tagged it onto a weekends skiing and being bang next to the airport in the same complex, dropped our bags off at the train station bag storage (also in the same complex) for the afternoon after dropping off the hire car, and had a walk around before flying home in the evening.
Surprisingly manageable. Not expensive either.
You could easily fly out in the morning, and have a return flight in the evening, and not actually walk outside the building complex!

I am doing that without the holiday.

Used my BA miles and got a flight for £35 return. Go early in the morning come back late at night.

Also got stand access to Ferrari, Lambo, Aston Martin etc. So should be good.

My wife and I went a couple of years ago and met drewf and susie. We are going this year on Monday evening when the tickets are cheaper. We are in Austria at the moment but intend to take a 300 mile detour on our way home.

I remember it well Mike! It was great to meet you and your wife too. That's a really handy, quiet bar above the show, away from the crowds. I don't understand why it's not packed like all the other food/bars.

Had a stroll around yesterday - the Maserati stand is probably the dullest in the show; looks like a MD showroom.

Hi Drew, I take it you are back in the U.K. now. We are hoping to re-visit said bar if we can find it again. Do you remember which section it was in?

No, but not at the show either!

The bar is called "L'Everest", and it's above the Abarth and Ferrari stands - the stairs to access are between them. Hall 5.

That car will be amazing from what I've read so far. Each new model gets better and better......Ferrari should worry.
