Scoobies are great. We had 2 and I'd still like a gb270. But we need more space so currently running c55 and e55 estates. Both are really rather good.

The only other “estate” I lust after is a B7 RS4 avant..... decatted!!!

Bought the Saloon brand new , sounded good but not Maser good. The Golf Tee mod or disconnecting the solenoid worked well.

Also had the B5 RS4 Avant after it stage 2 remapped. Weapon!!!

Having been so close to buying the M6 V10 before the Maser, can see the attraction of the M5 V10 estate.
Superb family wagon!

It was a great wagon and had the pano roof which really made the interior a bright place to be and the kids loved it. Mental V10 howl with the silencers off. Made money on the car in the end...

Having very recently waved goodbye to my C63 estate, this is all making me sad! I shall have to go and start the GTS this evening to remind myself why I swapped!

I don't care so much what it looks like outside....I'm inside

It has a big boot that I use a lot. The occasional roof bar/rack use. There isn't much else out there that covers all the bases it does for me for 10k.

An estate is an estate & not many are lookers really. All these smaller 'lifestyle' estates & sportbrakes/shooting brakes are compromised as an estate which is most people primary purpose/use. There aren't many bigger loads spaces than an E Class estate. I've had a few 5's & they are tons smaller.

As I am somewhat biased I think the C5 RS6 is a very hard act to follow.
It sounds sounds lovely, it is very practical, it is quick, comfortable, and looks pretty good from many angles.
I of course loved my previous V6 Alfa164, Alfa 75 twin spark and one of my first cars was the lovely Alfasud Sprint Veloce.
The original Audi Quattro turbo was also an excellent car though I did want to swap it for a Lancia Delta Integrale but for all round practicality the RS6 is incredibly hard to beat (fuel consumption when having fun excepted).

Those RS4's seem good value these days Phil. Fast car for the money. Don't they like to be used though as they tgat carbon build up in the engine. Was tempted with one last year when I was looking to work a few miles away. No good now I do 75 miles a day though.
