Watching this thread, I began learning about these cool little cars. Sooo when this one popped up on ebay US, I took a long look at it. Might just bid on it. Would someone on here check it out and give me an opinion? Thanks, Ed. US ebay item # 164065439637 1975 Lancia Fulvia

Well I am not very good at looking at cars from pictures, if you see what I mean. It is an S3 but the interior has been re-trimmed. It would not have had piping and would have had headrests. The yellow rocker cover is non-original (in the style of the HF cars) but easily fixed of course. The steering wheel is non-standard but nice. I think the rear reflectors have been off as they are mounted on the wrong sides in my view. Fundamentals, such as whether the subframe is sound (they rot on the back legs, and the front wheel arches crack) I can't tell.
In general a Fulvia is a lovely thing and if you can find a good one, is very rewarding.

As a former Fulvia owner, I concur with that.
My old car is now for sale at Mr Speedlux, white 1969 Rallye S.

The doors, bonnet and boot lid are aluminium and were fitted many years ago prior to the restoration.
for an anorak fact, the S1 had alloy doors, boot and bonnet. The quarter lights were fixed. S2 cars with steel doors but opening quarter lights. What seems to have happened here is that the S2 quarter lights have been fitted to the alloy doors. I've done that myself in the past and it is the best thing to do on an S2 car with the desirable alloy panels.

S1 Rallye S quarter lights were opening.

S2 HFs, Montecarlo & Safaris continued with fixed quarter lights but alloy panels were not standard, my MC has had bonnet and boot replaced but not doors. Alloy door fitment can be an art, they do tend to vary quite a bit and getting them to line up can be a challenge.

Looks cheap enough but it is an S3 with some modes especially to the interior.

I would never trust an Italian car mileage, Italians rarely keep good records and unless you can talk to all the owners it is almost impossible to verify. Also there is a Franco in Europe who sources cars direct from Italy and all are not as good as they first appear, no idea if there is any connection with a US Franco just thought I would share.

Thanks guys!
The best reference books are:
'Fulvia and Flavia' and 'La Lancia' both by Wim Oude Weernink. I have original hardback copies.

I've got the Gold Portfolio too.

I'd probably sell the books if anyone is interested.65419

Looks lovely and if it goes for the expected price a bit of a bargain.

Looks reasonable value for a modified car, once again opening quarter lights on good which I didn't think HFs had, doors could have been replaced with non HF doors at some point. Still not a fan of those raised outer front lights to meet UK specifications
