I decided to SORN my GS after it’s MOT late last year and garage it for the winter and get the insurance in sync with my other cars policy which renews at the start of June. So going forward, tax and insurance is all sorted at the same time, nice and simple.
I have never bothered before, preferring to take the car out when clean dry roads permit throughout the crappy months to exercise the car and for the **** of it.
Just bloody annoying having my toy sat in the garage and not getting out driving it. It really will feel like getting a new car all over again next month which will be nice though.
Driving it 50 yards and back every few weeks to keep things loose isn’t quite the same.
On the plus side the leather is cleaned and fed so much it’s now better than new, I have eliminated the sticky buttons and even treated it to some new nice deep pile mats whilst in hibernation.
Does everyone else feel frustrated garaging their cars over winter?
