Hey guys - Quick question, part 13 does the underside tray need to come out or part of the wheel arch to access it? It clips in from behind the bumper just want to get it out to see if i can refurbish a bit and clean up.

Cheers

Wow cheers so the under tray it is... i shall give this a go rather than £200 odd at Eurospares for it to get battered up again.

Just given mine a bit of a spruce up. Quite easy to remove and good clean and respray, they look really good. One side of mine had some broken clips, so it's had a bit of glue fix to get it to hold back in but managed it. £6 for a can of paint was definitely cheaper than £200!

What glue did you use? I was planning Gorilla glue or something. :study:

Was just about to comment but see Zep posted my thread above.

Mesh still looks good and was definitely worth the effort.

Yep, good old Gorilla glue should be fine. Tried hot glue gunning both of mine but the one with the broken clips wouldn't hold. So, resorted to Gorilla glue for that one and it still seems to be holding.

Black windscreen adhesive is brilliant for that type of stuff. It remains a wee bit pliable but don’t confuse it with silicone sealant. I’ve used it on kitcar cycle wings as the only thing holding them on and front and rear splitters on my Audi TT convertible. The trick is to ensure the parts are clamped whilst the adhesive goes off.

So took the plunge when dale came round to sort some bits and and mention no need to even mask behind the vent as just some black pipes behind so even easier. Looks so much nicer actually satin black again. I used frog tape round the main vents but masking tape to hold the plastic. Bad idea as it was so hot the masking tape glue came off on the car :frusty5: nothing a good wash the following day early in the morning before the heat came. Thanks all.
