Forum upgrades

You will have seen that the forum upgrades are being applied. The new Code of Conduct in the header bar, its still needs some work plus the new look and feel bought to us by the latest upgrade. The biggest feature is the new sidebar for latest threads. These are now split into 2 separate sidebars. You are not to try and fool this by moving off topic threads to anywhere other than the off topic/humour forum. They will be moved. We can now also stick threads in the sidebar at the top, like I have done with this announcement.

We will also be fixing the newbie registration where the email to confirm your account is not getting through.

There are a few bugs where the off topic sidebar is not showing in smartphone view in portrait, if you turn to landscape you can see it. Also the full list of top posters is currently not working.

Most of the upgrades are complete, we are now going to upgrade the forum software so please note the forum may be down during this process.

The board has now been upgraded to 2.1.12 so there will probably be issues, pm me @conaero

Upgrade to PHP8 and the forum software are complete. The remaining fixes are:

Paging on the sidebars so you can go to older items

Registration signup email confirmation not sending.

The only other issue I am aware of is Whats new > Latest activity goes to the last post not the last read in Chrome

You may already be aware but the sidebars with the most recent threads are being worked on to try and improve the load time of the forum home page that has got very laggy.
