Does anyone have any experience or opinions about the Formula Dynamics F1 enhancement module? My car is a 2003 4200 CC which I'm told has a slower gear change even in sport mode. I already have the Formula Dynamics box but just haven't got round to sending back to the factory to be set up for my car. Is it worth the effort of sending it to the factory and the hassle of fitting it?

Opinions vary here - much more positive on MaseratiLife who "probably" have a greater number of people using one.
As you've already bought the module you may as well try it - so you can make your own mind up.
It isn't difficult to fit and when you send back to FD for reprogramming mark the item as "for repair".
You won't get charged import fees on its return. FD will advise.

My 04 coupe is the second 4200 I have owned, and both cars had the DBW enhancement module when I bought them. The faster shifts may extend clutch life, but I don't think that has been or can be quantified. The increased throttle response is something I appreciate. I would have installed the module in the current car if it not already been there.
