Clearly Alfa drivers in those days were worried about punctures and not electrics in those days...

650k or even 65k and all they can do is use some 10p hose clamps in the engine bay!

Lot of bondo or high build primer where the serial number was uncovered. Nice paint match too!

That's not really surprising for such a car, and some might even argue that it adds to the car's history. Although good ones with racing provenance can get well into seven figures, it will be interesting to see if the guide price for this one is achievable - especially in a provincial auction.

Doesn’t seem a lot of paint to me and certainly not filler in that bit. This will be an enamel not the modern thin paints most people are used to.

That’s a detail I hadn’t really noticed, but you’re bang on, it really hides the usual clumsy look of exposed spares.
