Prices are always emotive and I hope you get what you want...but I bought a car last year which was the same age at the time of sale from a well known dealer with new clutch, warranty, new inspection, part ex etc for a few thousand less.

Pete does have a point..Its a lovely car and please don't think I am taking anything away from it but the price is in the middle of Gransport territory and although there are some that prefer the 4200 over a GS there aren't many so a very limited market at that price....But good luck with tthe sale and I hope you get what you want for your stunning 4200.

Dicky has an '05 car with 42k miles for sale at the moment. This has just been serviced and inspected by Marios at Autoshield, and comes with a warranty and respected dealer back-up - all (I suspect) for a tad less than £19k. The black car is a little newer and lower mileage, and looks mighty fine, but even so the price is toppy for a private sale. But good luck I say, as I'm all in favour of Masers holding their value. Low depreciation is the Holy Grail for modern Maseratis.

Kevin,
All we are trying to say is, be prepared to have to lower the price to sell..!! The car looks great on your 2 year old pictures, but current photo's would initiate more confidence maybe..??

Appreciate all the input, made me think perhaps I will keep it. Its a lot a beautiful car to let go at what I consider cheap!!

The thing is you have a low mileage, late version of a car that they do not make anymore and it is in a good colour scheme. Someone will want it so advertise and hold out.

Kevin,
Well worth keeping, in that condition it's rude not to and she will be looked after which is the main thing..!!
Cheers

I would say at 24k that is dealer forecourt money with warranty and fully retail prepared. Needs to be a few k less to sell privately especially in the current climate.

My 4200 is a 2007 car with 15k miles and absolutely mint. In the current climate I wouldn't expect to get more than £25k but I'm never selling anyway so I guess it is an irrelevance.

A bit different but to compare I'm selling a very nice 2005/55 facelift 4200 with 59k miles at a forum only price of £12.5k at the moment. Makes 24k seem a smidge too rich IMHO.

Keep it! What are you going to replace it for at that money?
