Just take the handheld radio Sam, it's bound to drain your battery during the filming and the last thing you want is the dreaded clicking when everyone is waiting for the lovely V8 burble when you leave!

I went to a drive in movie a few years ago and there were at least 3 cases of AA & RAC in attendance from the screening before us, trying to fire up some stranded cars!
Yeah, I will do Stuart. I did think it likely there will be a few flat batteries there!
But will want to get this sorted at some point as I don't like things not being right.

strange neither aerial works and does suggest a power issue. Can you check current draw from the fuse with a multimeter?
Does the rest of the factory unit still operate correctly?
Does the radio continually scan or lock to a station but no sound?

Yeah; that. I had to get a new battery after listening to the radio (with the engine off) for 20 minutes!

Yeah, I should have checked the current draw while I was there, I'll check later.
Any idea what its likely to be for an antenna amp?
The rest of the system works as it should.
Tuner just continues to scan round and round with white noise out the speakers.

I will also be taking a handheld radio (Cellphone and bluetooth speaker) will also take a fully charger jump pack in case anyone gets caught out.
Also, ‘Ignition on” for a lot of cars means running lights on and that will mess with their filming the audience.

No idea. I was thinking if there was no draw then you definitely have a disturbed connector under the parcel shelf or seat maybe. I imagine both aerials feed into a connector somewhere at the rear and then run into the dash loom.

Given there are two plugs at the NIT I rather suspect they are independent all the way through....

May find each amplifier plugs into a single connector with the 2 feeds back to the dash though. That's what I meant anyway.
And given both are not working this would be my port of call if they have power.
