Very nice, I wondered who would pick up on Marios mentioning a green GS in a previous post - I was surprised it didn't generate more attention. Lovely looking car in a timeless colour combination.

Nice, I do like a green. Looks like Ferrari Manchester at handforth?

Respect to the previous owner too if those were his pics, he appears to reside in a standard 60’s house but has a gransport on the road and a Ferrari 550 in his garage!
That's the way to do it.. keep the house costs down and spend the rest on cars...
Its's been my mantra since the 1970's!

Indeed. I was surprised, and pleased, by the lack of chat that particular post generated. But as soon as I read it, I knew I had to at least put myself in the running. Luckily it’s all worked out nicely for me.

Unfortuantely he lost his 550 a few week ago in a fire in a big car storage barn in Cheshire. (Google it). But on the upside, the insurance paid out, he’s sold the GS, and he’s now bought an FF. Which is a top choice.

I heard about that fire. A LOT of very special and rare cars were lost. Modern super cars and classics. One guy alone lost 20 or 30 I believe, including multiple ferraris, an LFA and a Carrera GT amongst many others.

Edit. I knew I’d seen it somewhere, here’s the guys list of what he lost....!!!!

“So here’s what I lost, I’ll put it down and then we can move on.

Aston Martin AMV12S
Aston Martin Zagato
BMW M2
Fiat 695 Biposto
Ferrari 250 GTE
Ferrari 355 Fiorano Handling pack
Ferrari 360 Spider
Ferrari 599GTO
Ferrari F12tdf
Ferrari GTC4 Lusso
Ferrari Pista (Red one)
Ferrari 812SF
Lamborghini Tractor
Lexus LFA
McLaren chassis
McLaren 650S
McLaren 675LT
McLaren Senna
Porsche 991 Endurance Cup
Porsche CGT”

Really stunning colour combo

I do long for another green car. My parents had a forrest green BMW E32 5 series with cream interior back in the early 90s when I was a boy... My mother spec'd it like that at the dealership.

I went on to have a Lexus IS200 in dark green with the cream interior, it was my second car I rolled around in it for nearly 5 years through some of university and my first jobs few after.

Congrats Ewan!

It’s a beautiful car; I happened to be at Autoshield yesterday, and spoke to Marios about it.

I’d previously seen the car there a few years ago (and had spoken to the previous owner) - you can rest assured that it’s been looked after by an enthusiast.

Very rare colour (Goodwood Verde) and it really looks stunning with the contrasting interior.

Lucky you!

Stunning colour scheme. I saw the same or very similar on a 3200 in the Tower Garage twenty years ago. It looks just right, enjoy!

Thanks for this. Given I’m yet to see the car, it’s nice to hear an independent report that it’s a good one. It has a proper service and MOT history, so together with the PPI from Marios I was happy to enough to proceed sight-unseen.

Mrs 1963 gives me a free reign on cars as long as I don’t sell the house or any of her kidneys to fund it. But the one stipulation is no green cars. She says it’s unlucky! I asked her once if she’d had bad experience of a green car the answer was “no their just unlucky” I can’t figure it out. But it’s a small price to pay to have any car as long as I can afford it.
