Doesn't read well, sounds like the main problem is still waiting to bite someone. It is quite shocking that a number of cars of this age are suffering with such serious subframe issue after less than 20 years of age especially as at the time they were built the manufacturers knew all about rot and how to protect cars from it.

I visited the factory some 7 years ago. I asked the lady-guide what they did for rust-proofing..... She had no idea what i was talking about :eek:

At least the QP isn’t dead.

going off the MOT history it is going to hard to gauge the quality of a repair.

If it was my project car I’d get it through an MOT, then run it a while to see if it is actually worth more time / expense.
