Hello All,

Been browsing the forum for a while and finally purchased my first Maserati

I bought Phil4's MC Shift GT that was advertised here

This thread has a picture when Phil collected it - it's still in the same great condition

Currently at SportsItalia getting a service and underseal - will collect later this week. Looking forward to putting some miles on her

Cheers!

Thank you all!

Will post some more recent pics once I collect

Was close to buying an auto (including Balotelli's old car - still for sale here). I knew I would prefer the MC but the additional maintenance always put me off. But with a new clutch, should be good for a while

Congrats - that’s a great car at a great price.

Done any tunnels yet?

Alas, no tunnels yet...it is still at SportsItalia until Thurs/Fri this week - so looking forward to the weekend

Story is that when I viewed the car, we discovered it had an oil leak. It had recently had the clutch replaced, so thought it could be connected. Looking underneath could see it was coming from the gearbox (what I initially thought was the rear-diff...it's pretty far back eh). But the rest of the car looked good

Phil was keen to shift the car so took it to SportsItalia the next day, where it was quickly diagnosed as a loose filler cap. Quick fix so we agreed the sale. While it was there it was due a service anyway (and I wanted to get it undersealed) so that's all being done as well. So the agreement is I now collect from SportsItalia...the drive back will be my first proper drive of it

Similar story for me, the PPI detected weeping cam cover gaskets, so while they were replaced the Underseal was done at the same time.
PPI quote was £2k for gaskets change, actual price I paid was £750 (inc Underseal).
Both respected Maser Indies but one has London overheads, the other is Midlands.

Wow that's a Big difference for sure worth a couple of days away and a good hotel for the difference.

I live in the Midlands but bought the car from a private seller in London.

Many thanks to Ashley – amazing service and a great guy. Explained everything on the car and the work has obviously been carried out with great care and attention to detail

Absolutely loving it!

MC shift is fantastic – surprised at how smooth it can be. Have experienced a few clunky changes (seem to be when really pushing it)…but sure I will learn to smooth those out too. Downshifts…amazing…and don’t think I will ever get tired of starting this engine (though my neighbours may)
