Good morning all.

I am seriously considering the below Granturismo.

I would really appreciate any comments from those more knowledgeable than myself and if anyone knows this particular car?

Much appreciated inadvance.

That's the way to buy one with recent expenditure like that as many people have learnt putting right a neglected car.
Good Luck and also bare in mind future upkeep too.

This one caught my eye too, really classy spec.

What determines whether a car has oval exhausts or twin exhausts?

Also it's an MC Shift so it's the one to have if you like spirited driving rather than cruising.

For that age:

- Variators (tapping on cold start?)
- Brake life remaining
- Clutch life remaining
- Subframe (very important)

New clutch is about £4k - Expectation is it could start to miss gears in the late 30k’s miles then need changing in mid 40ks.

New discs and pads is about £3k - front discs are very expensive!

Get an inspection, costs to repair can escalate quickly.

Thanks so far everyone. I am abroad at the moment but as the car is in Chippenham I guess Sportsitalia may be the best place to start if I need an inspection when I return?

It does look nice and I think the colours look fantastic.

Of course the milage will be an issue once you come round to selling yourself... but hopefully that would be in many years time.

At his price point I would be trying to find a bit extra to buy the car Dicky has, less miles and big bills, clutch, brakes and tyres all recently done which in all total more than the difference in price.

Now in the face of it that looks lovely for the money. If an inspection comes up OK I would definitively be taking the plunge on that. So much 4.7 GT for the money. A bit of bartering and that could be and even better buy.
