I’ve not had a problem, but as Phil says, it’s just physics.

What’s probably happened is that the wash or rinse water is cold and it made the lens surface cold enough to condense the small amount of moisture in the lamp on the inside of the lens. It will evaporate again when it warms up.

You could tape a little bag of desiccant (like you get in shoe boxes) to the inside of the bulb cover which should stop it happening.

Your car was owned by a Scotsman though, Zep. It’ll be sealed up tighter than an otter’s bottom.

This is how Aston Martin cures the same problem. Works a treat.

They all do that sir. The new ones will, design flaw, too much air in there, simple condensation..... You cannae change the laws of physics.... chemistry....

You certainly changed the laws of genetics. :)

Just a pointer.

I had condensation in the front fog light units and left it. Sadly it condensed on the chrome reflective shrouds and over the (last) winter it lifted the chrome off and left a bubbly finish in there... £500+ for two new units... a job for the spring.
