Hi everyone am new on here I’ve been looking for a new weekend car and the gt ticks all my boxers with me having 2 young kids.I would like a nice example of a 4.7s mc shift I’ve been reading through posts trying to gather as much info as I can to find a good one.I would like black or white with carbon pack in and out my budget is around 35k do you think I will be able to find a nice one with under 30k miles not alot seems to be coming up for sale.
I am hoping to go and look one tomorrow it’s a 59 (2010) but am abit put off as it’s due a service and the owner says it’s not had the variators done but does not tap on cold start also wants 2 new rear tyres but it’s the spec I am after it’s a private sale which scares me with with no warranty thanks

MC clutches last 35-40k miles and is a £3k job. Don’t get caught holding the baby.

Variators only affect up and inc chassis numbers in 2009, so you should be good as they were fixed after. Get the last 6 on the chassis number and we will check it for you.

It’s the right spec car for me but it’s due a service this year and he said it wants 2 new rear tyres am not sure I want to buy a car that needs spending on straight away if it was me selling I would make sure it was spot on for the new owner bit of a put off

The seller made it clear from the start that it needed 2 new tyres. And all cars need servicing at some point - occasionally close to the time you want to sell, and sometimes not. There’s nothing suspicious here. It is the right spec for you, go and see it, have it inspected, and negotiate an agreeable price. Simple.
