My pleasure.
My twin brother was in Malaysia for several years and was always sending me ads like this especially old Ford Escorts and Capris oh and Mini Coopers.
Keep us updated :)

excellent, escorts, capris and coopers, wonder what they're worth out there now

This is the air cleaner pipe I am looking for, mine is getting fragile, the plastic strap beside it I believe are unobtainable, the last one I saw on a car was mine!! but I think these could be easily 3D printed if you know anyone with a printer. The pipe is wire reinforced but made out of some sort of paper/cloth/cardboard material, I see yours has writing on it, any chance of there being a name. It has a 55 mm internal dia and is about 460 mm long, tried a few places but no joy. I like you am trying to keep original.
I stripped all the rear off my car last year powder coated and re-bushed all new springs and shocks etc. On mine there is a rubber fuel pipe that goes from the tank across the car which you can now get to with the suspension off, it's a good idea to replace this while you are in that area.
I will sort out some Montreal pic's later, but have to warn you that it's my project and been going on for a while:(

Geoff, I think you may have to compromise on the pipe, I would think you could use VW beetle air hoses on it, they are formed of aluminium foil and concertina. If you can get the right size and shape you could them wrap them in exhaust bandage to get something close to texture maybe?

just got delivery of a pair of NOS rear dampers from Italy, must say the delivery of parts from ebay sellers in Italy and Germany has been top notch considering all this covid thing

Stoßdämpfer. The German language can make anything sound like you’re either about to be invaded or hugged by a large hairy bloke in leather shorts.

Just been through my Giulietta post winter, brake light switch at the pedal needs replacing and need to look at the rear brakes a slight weep of brake fluid visible but other than that all looks good.

is this the part you need

Im pretty sure I did come across the pipe a while back from Italy ebay seller, didn't save it as not needed, will see if I can find it again.

Already spotted the rubber fuel pipe going through floor to tank and i'm going to replace it and the steel pipe that goes to pump as well, including the steel clutch hydraulic pipe
Hi,
Yes that is the part I am looking for, so many thanks for finding it, I was all set to order it and noticed the posting costs, it took the price over £50 for a little plastic strapo_O
I am now in contact with someone who thinks they can 3d print them. If it works I can get one done for you too.
Regards

Hi thanks for your input and yes I may have to compromise. I do have a second used one which is in the same condition as mine, I am thinking of cutting them I half and joining the two best ends together. Need to figure a neat way of doing it.

Does seem pricey, but looks bang on, would really bug me using a part that looks naff, would a 3d printed part look the same as the original?

Have to wait and see, but I can supply them with my original to copy. Also doubt if many people could tell, but I agree it needs to look correct.
