The most lengthy car purchase ever. I bought a qp v off sommi as I knew the car from when Enzo had it and brought it a llandow track day and I loved how it sounded.
I purchased it last June , Matt has worked his magic on clutch etc and I finally got it yesterday thanks to Richard Grace.
As per some recent threads I've never driven a quattroporte , but knew I wanted ds.
Anyway the way the car drives with FD module and new clutch , it exceeds expectations and I love the noise off the full larini exhaust. Some cosmetics to sort.
I'd never driven a qp before but surprised how sporty it is, as my previous was a 3200ac

Congratulations on the purchase, I don’t know the r but it’s sound like it has great provenance and if it’s been through the Sportsitalia workshop you are likely to be trouble free for some time.

Great that both of you are back... have some fond memories of that QP, in and around France and the UK.

Welcome to the forum

Your car sounds epic. Couple of years ago I had my ears retuned by your exhaust in the hindhead tunnel while Sommi was driving in our convoy down to the Alton meet.

Welcome back and so glad Enzo’s car is still on the forum. Have great memories of it around Llandovery as obviously you did as well. That exhaust certainly suited the car.

Thanks , guys , it was last washed probably, June will take photo whe washed.
I only bought a he car because of the sound it makes, last night when brought back keeping it in 6th on the road and low revs so do think my wife knows how loud it is.
As a few on here I've decided that circa 400bhp is enough. I drive a E39 touring most days and have a cayenne turbo (chipped to 520 bhp) but it's competent bit boring. The old BMW is more fun with the traction off for slow speed back end step out

If you check all the car buying websites providing advice on what to look for an any make or model - you will find they all say “what does it sound like?” Those that don’t mention this are wrong or have genuinely missed this VERY important information

NOISE is what a v8 is.

a badge is pointless when a V8 at full chat through a tunnel is sublime
