Interesting my Mini Cooper in New Zealand came from Japan and when working at the Dealership in Auckland we bought over several Lancia Delta HF's too.
Seen some nice looking ones available here in France with detailed photos as a starting point.
As it's for my Good Lady she wants a specific color and trim and it must have air con.

They will all have aircon in Japan but colour and trim will be limited. All sold last 3 months were red or black. Latest one only had 50k kms and made about 2k euros. Add another 3 or 4 k for fees, shipping, duty and VAT.

I've suggested the Alfa to Ms French and found a couple of nice ones too but she wants the Fiat.
Too her credit she has owned a Alfa 2000 Spyder when she lived in New Caledonia.

I’m guessing the leather could be retrofitted for the right car? The aircon, not so much

Not such a huge car to prep and paint Phil especially if you are doing the stripping and reassembly ............then the good lady gets exactly the colour of choice , a nice heavy metallic burnt orange IMHO

That was exactly what I told her.
The interior dead easy and the Aircon also could be a Winter project as we have other cars she could use then.
