Ferrari Roma

Given that most people on here don't buy new, who are we to judge whether they know their "buyer"?

I think that this is the prettiest Ferrari for a long time. The F12 and 812 are purposeful but this is something else. Its possibly because they've taken some cues from other manufacturers.

The one thing that has really moved on is that cockpit and console. The display looks stunning. Not overly sure about touch controls though. I prefer switches :D
Looks like a Tesla Control panel/ Stuck on IPad to me. Sad to see a departure from the Giallo Rev Counter. Leave the virtual cockpits to Audi please ferrari :(

There was a silver XK in the station car park this morning as dawn was breaking. I was struck by what a timelessly elegant shape it is and how the Roma really isn't a radical departure from the same basic silhouette.

Whilst I like this new Maserrari, it's the Glaswegian laundry-basket grill which I can't unsee now. I'll be buggering about with the configurator to see which colours work. I think I like it... but you can get a 720 for less money. And yeah yeah yeah, I know you shouldn't compare the price of a new car with the price of a new one, but you really should. It's the same money.

Won't stop people judging that they don't know what 'we' want their buyers to be :lol2:

Well history repeats itself, first the California was robbed by Ferrari from Maser design team and now the Roma turns up based wholly on the Alfieri. Maserati have lost the plot!

More along the lines of 'Please design and advertise your cars so they are bought by those who I respect and aspire to emulate' ;)

We got the GranTurismo platform in return, no complaints from the South coast.

Begs the question...what are we getting in return?

I like that and would have it over the Aston. But I like the Portifino also, and the Cali T.

I wouldn't use it everyday though, as I’d get bored of it in 6 months. It’s only by using a car such as this on rare occasions that keeps it special. For many of my cars I work on a usage rate of about 20 times per year. That gives me plenty of enjoyment, while also making each trip seem like a treat. The fact that it keeps the miles down and the value up is not the point, but is very welcome.

That is the Alfieri, I can’t f’ing believe it!
Definitely. One way of looking at it is that the design was so good it was half-inched by Ferrari. Proves what great designers are lurking within Maserati. Augers well for the GT/Alfieri replacement. takes off rose-tinted specs

Erm the GT platform was unveiled in 2005 way before any California.
Yes but its know that the two projects were produced by each company then swapped mid way, hence my comment.
Loz saw the CaliMaz mule at the factory some years ago.
