Yes I probably would! All hypothetical, of course.
What happened to you pining over a 458 spider?!
I would like to
Was talking to owner, a nice chap, very down to earth also has a 6 litre AMG Merc!

He didn't know how to operate the front lifting system and caused 5k worth of damage to the carbon undertray aero system  ..over the local speed bumps!

The first oil and filter change was only 2 thousand quid plus vat at Gray Paul

Who said Masers were expensive to run!

Dave
Thats bizarre as all contemporary ferraris have 7 years free servicing

Loved owning the two I had.
The 456 in TDF blue was pure class and got me into the Guinness World Record books.
The second my silver 360 was the fault of the Sports Maserati lot and going to LeMans in Franks.
I bought it within a week of returning.
Different tastes and lifestyle now so probably won't buy another.
The Ferrari crowd were not for me as I'm a jeans and tee-shirt bloke.
The forum was also unwelcoming not like on here so I was never going to fit in and not prepared to wear red trousers etc.

If it’s front engined you can wear jeans, if the engine is in the middle red slacks and a Ferrari baseball cap are required.

Is this warehouse in Northamptonshire? Not expecting you to say where, but I may need some storage for a period of time. Any details would be good.

Its just off the A5 in Warwickshire, around junc 18 M1

Spending a few days with a 550 Maranello.
Reminds me of my adolescent greyhound. At its best flat out or sitting still. Rest of the time rather clumsy and awkward, though thankfully the 550 has yet to redecorate its parking spot. Still absolutely loveable though.

Saw two when out and about today! One in red, and another in gunmetal. The dark grey suited it, both had a lot of presence on the road.

It's a fair cop! There were some nice ones around, but silly prices. Prices have stabilized now, but the closer I got to the marque more toxxers seemed to show up, and I kinda got put off. Spent all my cash on other silly things now anyway, so will have to sit back for a year (or turbocharge the MM calculator...)

I know the feeling!
I am tempted to press the button on one , but after tarmacking the drive and some landscaping in combination with my daughters recent birthday... the funds are slightly depleted. I feel guilty moving on from the Aston which is so so much better than I thought it ever could be... Why dont we fire up the MM calculator together ? They always seem to work so much better when they are being operated by two men encouraging each other!

You look like a right muppet! lovely car though.. bet you still wish you had it now!

Dave
Ha ha Dave don't even own a suit now.
Bought the 456 and 360 at the right time and both would have been good investments.
At least I made a good profit on the last 4200 sold in New Zealand after running it for 4 years and not even putting a battery on it.

A nice early manual 456 failed to sell at auction a couple of weeks ago and was bought by a chap I know at a post-auction price of £35k. So they can still be had for reasonable money.

That's encouraging... I'd probably have bought that instead of the 4200 if right place / right time had aligned...

Interesting that with some ferraris recently there seems to be a huge disparity between asking and sale prices. Definitely happening with testarossas.

Not just Ferrari, most similar cars appear to be slowly drifting downwards.

The only Lambo I would buy would be an Espada or maybe a very early LP400 Contach - all the others are just too shouty for my tastes

Similar for me - would dearly love an Espada or a Urraco, wouldn't mind a Jarama or Islero either given half a chance (The Miura is way out of reach and the asking prices of LP400s aren't that far behind). I drive past Lamborghini B'ham quite often, look in the window and think 'hmmm, still not sure about the Huracan' but there's something about the back end of the Murcielago which I do like, it seems to hit the right spot somehow.

Looking along my bookshelves all of the Ferrari books are of the '50s, '60s and '70s era, I could pine for Dinos, 275s, 250 Lussos, GTEs and the 330 series etc all day long, I'm drawn to the 308GT4 which baffles some of my mates and the F355 belonging to the bloke who cuts what's left of my hair looks gorgeous when I see it at the local MOT station, but anything after the 360 leaves me slightly cold, can't put my finger on it really.

I should say I've never driven any of the above so my yearnings are based solely on sight, sound and their place in history - I've still not driven a Maser yet either but long to own one.

I am led to believe Ferrari mileage should always be taken with a grain of salt.
Given the fixation on low k's and the dollar value cost, helpful service centres will change the clock at each service to just above the last documented service.
