Has anyone here done the Ferrari owner factory tour? (Im not on about the pay for one that is effectively a minibus tour around the site)..

If so do you email them direct or go through the dealer.. ?
Also since I own a previous model (Cali T) does this preclude me from going (I read somewhere it has to be a current model??)

Hi P R,

I did a tour in 2014 and wasn’t very impressed. The Maserati factory tour is much better.

to arrange a tour I booked both through Maranello's in Egham but I was a customer of theirs at the time. I think the only way to book a proper Ferrari tour is through a main dealer.

if you go be sure to drive Fiorano and also visit Lambo and Panini. If you’re also into bikes then also do a Ducati tour.

I did the Panini place last year which was great. Tried to do the Maser factory but they were shut for summer so could only offer the showroom tour which I decided against.
Will see which one is open in Mid July!

I did....My Father in law worked for the VOSA and got me in through contacts. It was amazing as it was only me and another couple....3 of us with two very lovely tour guides.....If you can do it as its worth it. It was the factory tour, on a mi I bus to where they kept all the old F1 cars and racing Ferraris then a trip to the test track.

I believe the FOC have an allocation of about 30 per year but it’s expensive. £1k ish.

I did the Ferrari and Lambo tours about 25 years ago. Just showed up, in my 944, said I was interested in buying a car and was given the grand tour(s). I’m sure that wouldn’t happen now!

I took some photos inside the Lambo factory and by a strange quirk of fate, a few years later, ended up buying the very Diablo I’d snapped on the production line!

Given that you are currently an owner I’m sure you’ll be able to have the tour. If I ever take the time off work to drive mine down there, I’d expect to be welcomed and shown around. It’s not much to ask given what I spend on their parts - new exhaust, £6k, new rear windscreen, £5k, pair of new side lights, £1.5k, and so on.

What did you enjoy more, Andy, the tour guides or the factory?... :)
