Porsche may be the best % wise, although in many cases using the list price new against the value at 4,5,6 years whatever, is often a bit false, as most Porsche’s have huge amounts of extras added to list.

An 80k list new 911 is often actually 100k with ‘essential’ for resale options, so the 40-50k residual, whilst still ok is not so impressive when actual purchase price is used rather than base list.

A 40k mile 991 S that was circa £110k new is still £55k/50% at 8 years of age, or £75/70% at 5 years of age.

911’s do seem to have gone up a lot during these strange times over the last year or so

Careful what you suggest, it might be sold by the end of the day...
Look if someone offerred me a lot* of money then I'd consider it...I'm sure i could buy a 'cheap' 2008 GT for 10k....and still be 'in the club'

lot* think of a serious offer then add £10k

I could prob stretch the budget to £10k, but it better come with at least 3 wheels!

I have sold Depreciation proof supercars for nearly 30 years. Agree with Matt, the MC20 will fall like a stone, so best wait for a couple of years. Only chance of that not happening is if the Quality Motoring Press start eulogising about it mainstream. That would then attract a different breed of car purchaser. However, into the mix, it is very very easy to ''re-price/ upgrade ' a model if all the top dealers have an'agreement.'.

How do you predict the value will be on say a £220k list car after 6 months and 3000 miles? Or 12 months and 5000 miles? Just curious.

I seem to remember that when I chatted with Maranello a while back about an MC20, the finance deals were giving a guaranteed future value figure of around £120k after 3 years (and I imagine about 20-30k miles). That would indicate depreciation of very approximately £30k per year for the first 3 years. But of course, in reality it should be better than that, as the GFV figure has to be set very conservatively.
