I respect Hamilton as a driver, but not as a person, but thats my view and in no way the view of others. I think we had a great race yesterday, and hope the next one is as good, but with a different winner.

It was a bit like the old days, reliability creeping into a number of cars performance, safety cars to keep bringing it back to a level playing field and some interesting results. Ferrari would be over the moon to get a podium with a car that is well off the pace, Landowner's to edge in to 3rd with a great last lap although I do think Hamiltons race penalty was a bit harsh, surely it is for the car behind to make a safe pass. Albon has got all the hallmarks of a good young driver hopefully he will learn and choose better options to pass.

Roll on next week for more of the same

What’s with all the Lewis hate?
Seems a decent bloke to me and a very talented driver.....in the best car admittedly but you still gotta drive it well.

With you on this Wattie.......I don't listen to all the politics but just as him as a driver and I for one would love him to win a few more championships so he becomes the most successful driver of all time......He is UK champion after all why would you not want a UK champion of champions...…..Plus we now have some great British talent coming though as well so happy days...

surprisingly enjoyable race, made better that the teams have to do it all again armed with the confidence or worries gathered yesterday.
Chapeau mr Lando Norris. Proper racing driver, kept his powder dry until the very end when he had just the last laps edge onto a podium.
Feel for young Alex Albon, proper brave racing that didn't come off that time.
To finish first, first you have to finish.

He's a bellend. He really should have some smarter people around him explaining that he'd be wiser to understand his position as a part of a team and that if he wants to be righteous, he should at least do a bit of research before speaking out. He may think he's somehow being "true" to himself but actually he's becoming looked upon as being detached from reality as he sits in Monaco, tax-free, demanding £40m a year from a team with an awful history, wearing the clothes of a designer with an equally awful history but calling out causes that if he just learned a little, may not be all they seem to be.

I think he would be better with a manager, which he has famously avoided since he had a spat with his father some years ago.

And that's why he's not liked. If he stuck to pure racing, he's be Sir Lewis by now. But he can't help himself.

I don’t think he’ll be too concerned about not being Knighted.
He clearly hasn’t molested, bowled out, fraudulently accounted or indeed contributed enough of his multi millions to the correct political party for that “Honour”.

Good luck to him I say. Never did me any harm and I think he’s something the Uk should be proud of with all he’s achieved.

They’ll all be looking for new drives next year.
Why do you say that?
Leclerc? no chance. Ferrari will do what it takes to give him a competitive car. Heads will roll for sure after that start to the season.
Max, no way. They are building around him.
Maybe Kimi will retire.

Grosjean too should be out of a drive next year.
Lando did really well, getting the fastest lap. Clearly McLaren turned up the power to 'overtake' Hamilton on the last few laps. It also goes to show the difference from race power setting and qualifying. Lando's lap was a 1:07 but Bottas was in the high 1:02s.
Honourable mention to Latifi from bringing it home in 11th in his first GP.

Brilliant to see them stick it to the big boys.....enjoy....I did... immensely :)

Absulutely agree. One of those memorable laps and a great drive. Not only is Landa a star of the future when I met him at Goodwood he was a really nice bloke. Doesn't stop smiling. Funny saying 'stick it to the big boys' about McLaren. How times can change ....One minute your are one of the big boys then your not.

Now that Lando has his podium, I'm sorry to say that Crofty and Phil are possibly the 3rd and 4th best drivers from Somerset... (Jenson Button still number 1).
