Started to watch this, but..... What a disappointment, after all the extra time they could have made it entertaining at least. Was it just me that thought so?

As an RB supporter, shame we were not less than 0.5 seconds closer to Merc, but generally if you look at the grid and times etc, its incredibly close. Different track and different circumstances will certainly spice things up

Didn’t even bother, the cars are dull. The WRC got it right when they changed the regs a couple of years ago. They made the cars exciting and everything else followed suit.

Well I enjoyed it...Its Motorsport and back. I love Austria and looking forward to tomorrow. Qualifying is just that and although Mercedes are top it's not Lewis and the fact Ferrari aren't even close then it's not the usual. Love the fact a ferrarii aren't competitive.....Vettal out in Q1.....Horses head in his bed tonight.

BTTC back on August as well...

First qualifying session since Ferrari were told to stop cheating and they are 10th and 11th on the grid.

Not quite, Ferrari were slow at the end of last season after they were investigated, they were cheating but managed to do some sort of deal with the FIA.

I enjoyed watching real racing cars back on track and good to see some others up there. Merc have been quick all weekend so no surprises but race pace may be slightly different especially as Verstappen will be starting on mediums

Today is set to be close, and im sure there will be some carnage with the midfield so close. Such an amazing track, despite only having 10 corners, its incredible, and in such a beautiful setting also

McLaren next year with a Merc PU should be pretty decent id have thought. But then Williams also have the same PU....

Went to the Austria F1 a few years and it is a stunning track. We sat in the grandstand at turn 1 and you can see about 2/3 of the track from there. Full of lunatic Dutch though.

The interesting thing will be Max being on mediums whilst the Mercs are on soft. Should be pretty close come the end of the race if he can stay within a pit stop.

It's one of my favourite tracks. Would love to do a track day there one day. So glad it's back on the calendar.

Great race for the fans, and well done to everyone to got to the end. Lando did a great job, as did Bottas. If the race next week is anywhere near as good we are in for a right treat

It was rubbish until the safety cars when it sprung into life. Lots of games between Mercedes and Lewis, imposing team orders then telling them there was a technical problem to double keep them in check. I was pleased to see Lando do well, he’s a likeable character. A bit sad for Albon who again takes a punishment for putting in the effort, I think he’s quite good and with a bit more gusto, could be a challenger in races.

I was also fairly pleased to see Bottas put one over on Lewis, especially after the outspoken shenanigans from him which I’m not a fan of from any sports person, never mind him. He’s the best driver of a generation, perhaps of all time, but he’s doing a magnificent job of coming across badly and alienating some. It’s a shame as I think it will cloud his legacy bans talent.

Exactly what my make it about racing comment was aimed at.
