I don't know what to make of Jags.

" Jaguar are all about sports cars"...ermmm X Type? S Type? XF?...are they not just rep cars?

I think the XK looks great, and in some cases better than the DB9 considering the price dif, guy next door had both for a few weeks and the XKR looked better in side profile...but its the old-man image and the cars seem to loose their appeal after a few years, just look at the old XK8's

But they are nice inside and I even took a 4.2 XK with sports exhaust out for a test a few weeks ago, 2008 at £33k...but it did not make me want to sign on the dotted line.

Just watched the vid with Martin in and listening to the exhaust note it sounded great...until the autobox sluch change...that put me off.

So a cheap V8 Vantage copy?...not sure and will wait and see.

The sporting heritage of Jaguar is up there with Maserati easily, think of the 50's right through to the 80 Le Mans cars... Plus a go at F1. While Maserati was developing a 4x4 they were developing this, tells a lot I think.

You make me laugh Adam.

Your dead right Nick, the funny thing is While Jaguar have been busy trying to throw out their Old man image because they are waking up, that it does not sell well.. maserati have almost been heading down that road because Fiat have said ferrari make sports cars and maserati will be your GT... which winds me up a bit, but as a business model it makes sense. If you look at the current refresh going on in the current model line ups, Ferrari get a bit more power, and maserati get a bit more power, but maserati always stay behind...the Boss!! Ferrari...

I think it all started to go wrong when they let their cars star in Minder with Arthur Daley. Surely a brand 'own goal' if ever there was one !
