Experts please

Sorry, not Maser related but looking for some help. The wife’s VW Tiguan has started clonking from the o/s front suspension/steering and pulls to the left under braking. Generally feels wrong. I took a load of photos just to see if anything was obviously broken but sadly I haven’t got a scooby do as to whether there is an obvious problem here. Anyone? Cheers in advance.

Key things would be:

Bottom ball joint - if you wobble the wheel top bottom does it clonk?

Gap where the hub is pinched onto the damper looks a bit bigger than it is on other VAG cars I have seen.

Broken coil spring a I cannot see the tail of the spring through the gaps in the spring seat.

Thanks Zep I have to decide whether to go down the pain of the dealers warranty and cart it back to them or get it into the local indy and see what they say. PITA but at least it’s not like Maser!

Any of those are a £200 fix rather than a £2000 fix, so your not in a awful place!

They won’t cover a broken spring under warranty I’d guess, but no harm in asking!
