Windshield wiper control in one position ***** down all screens! Has anyone experienced this in a 2015 Quattroporte with 20K miles

When I twist the wiper control in a certain position all the screens go blank

Ah! Not seen that before. It’s like it’s disconnecting the power to the dash. I’d start with relays and fuses.

My manual doesn't list all the fuses and relays. In any case I find it difficult to imagine a connection between the wiper controls anf the video screens????
If anyone knows about this please let me know. I have also lost my GPS. I was told it was the antenna and we replaced that but it wasn't. Now I use my phone!

My reasoning was that if you are losing power to the NIT (which powers the screen through a ribbon cable) when engaging one of the settings on your wiper motor, it’s likely to be power related. I’m sorry if that’s not helpful.

Anyway, welcome to the forum and good luck with your fault.

Many thanks for that, I shall pass it on to Bob Houghton's who maintain my QP when I can afford them! No one has yet to find why the GPS is off-line, either Maserati Leipzig in Germany, a huge facility or Houghton's. I have a BMW X3 with a fault: the warning that the battery is not charging comes up all the time. The battery is charging and all is perfect! BMW Munich said they had fixed it, they hadn't, BMW Oxford just gave up and agreed that it should be classified as an 'idiosyncrasy' of my vehicle!

I'm disappointed @CatmanV2 hasn't commented on here.
Certainly an interesting one.
I would advise a good auto electrician to have a look.

Thank all. I am tempted to drive to Modena and say 'please fix it!' As I am usually driving around the Continent -all my family live there- it would be a pleasant detour!
