Electrically adjusted column question

Hi all,
I am trying to retrofit an electrically adjusted steering column with paddle shifters.
Column is in and paddles work however the column doesn’t move.
Wondering if there is no fuse or relay fitted at it wasn’t an original option however I can’t find anything on internet or in handbook to say which they might be.

I asked a main dealer in London whether there was a software flash required and they responded with it couldn’t be done as there was no wiring loom fitted. As always, MD talking rubbish as the connector and loom are blatantly there.

Grateful if anyone can shed any light on what might be missing?

I suspect the wiring loom is there, you just need the bits and enabling and a proxy align.

It’s a false economy to make looms for specific cars, one for all and dangling plugs.

Strange.. I seem to remember that the stipulation for retrofitting paddles was having electric seats (and therefore the correct wiring loom).
If the paddles are working it suggests the correct loom is there

Took the car to a garage with the Maserati software however they couldn’t make it work either.
Looks like it will have to come out and have the manual column refitted.
A bit disappointing… suppose that’s the issue with modern cars now. Although it seems Maserati’s are more limited than other marques when it comes to retrofitting options.
This is my first Maserati and I wrongly expected more features as standard. Will have to ensure that the next car is fully spec’d with all the options.

Which Maerati garage did you go to, I imagine some are better than others especially when it come to the usual stuff.

What Scaf said. Having the diagnostic software isn’t the same as being able to do things like proxy alignment. The answer may be further up this thread.

I specifically asked them to enable it and do a proxy align as our glorious leader suggested. They said they could do that however as Scaf says, they are not all equal.
More phone calls may be in order next week to see who might have a fighting chance of sorting it.
