And what an awesome car to do the school run in... I bet your kid(s) receive admiring glances from their friends (and their parents!).

Sometimes but as it gets older it does get top trumped regularly - an FF once and a good selection of RRS, SQ7, Tesla SUV etc.

I used to under trump regulalry with my battered Mk1 Ford Sierra Estate. So called "The rolling stone" by the kids, given the moss growing on it!. Bumpers held together by the obligatory silver duck tape. Use to love pulling up next to the Mercs and Rangies when going to school!

We’re not talking about Eton, are we? ;)

Not sure I think much of any of those, apart from the FF... and there’s the subtlety and understated cool of the Maserati marque that dispenses with the obligatory pomp and ceremony with every modern Ferrari... just my perception, I’ve never owned the latter :D

I’m far too nervous to drive my GTS to pickup my daughter from primary school - two way road that’s wide enough for one car given the unthoughtful parking consistently on both sides, and what with scooters and balance bikes flying around at warp five. Ironically, my 5 year old daughter is more enthusiastic about the Mazzer than my 13 year old step son!

How true. My two grandsons (10 & 7) literally BEG me to collect them at school...with the top down. I collect them several times a week and they always tell their friends that "Papa is coming in the MASERATI!!"

Yep easier for you now with after sales given the GranTurismo is such a robust car and massive VFM.

Notwithstanding that any idea about the creaking noise I talk about?

They’re very well built cars; if properly maintained they have very few issues.

The creak is usually a shock bush; although it could be a number of things.

Yep had the bush kit fitted by Graypaul and not helped and have also previously done drop links and ARB bushes. Could be the bush at the bottom of the shock or steering ball joint - hard to work it out and car drives fine.

PS nice Blu Oceano you have in.

PPS just realised you said shock bush! Presume I need to replace the whole shock rather than refurb and of course will need a pair at my mileage.

I know you can just replace the bush; but don’t know if GP will do that for you.

10/10 for online diagnosis! In so much as you can see the shock bush is looking sad but a spray with dry PTFE WD40 removed the noise. This will do as an interim solution until I have it replaced. Does not look too difficult as long as the nut can be loosened but at least that part of the lower wishbone looks strong enough to cope (what do I know as I won't be doing it myself?!). Thanks.
