Hopefully it's sold and out the way and either gets put back to it's former glory or broke for parts, don't think in it's current state and keep doing the rounds on ebay does the Maserati 4200 prices much good.Well the relisted auction ended last night with no reserve and the car sold for £6400 with 38 bids, will be interesting what happens to this car, will it end up on the track or will it be put back on the road ?
My guess is that it will be broken for parts
Also as I keep an eye on Maserati Spyders in Biturbo or 4200 form I noticed a Biturbo Spyder I went to look at in Meridan at a garage earlier this year was advertised with no mention of it being a category write off in the past but when it went to auction it was mentioned, it didn't sell but reappeared on Car and Classic but once again no mention of being a write off at some point in it's life. Also a cheap yellow 4200 Spyder that's been on the market a while I seem to remember on one of it's listings it said it had been a category write off but no mention of it now.
Just found out if being sold private no need to declare but if through a trader it must be disclosed.
