Easy access system…

Should the easy access system work on both sides of the car?

I drove a 2016 Granturismo Sport yesterday to check rear space for my growing kids and only the drivers seat moved forward when trying to access the rear.
Is this by design? (Noting they are designed for LHD)

The sales brochures I have seen imply it is for both front seats. - did it change by year? I am looking to buy a 2010.

Cheers

Mine did this on the passenger side when I got it. Quick reset as Zep has linked to should sort it out.

Thanks all - you’re such a good bunch :drinks:

I’m now looking at quotes for aftermarket warranties just in case - seems to be a couple of grand a year with £5k claim limit- any thoughts? Do failures cost more than £2k per year?

Personally I’d say bank the 2k annually and put towards the known wear & tear items that do come up.

As any car, who knows?
I've owned cars without, and with.
Personally if a second car, without, don't do the mileage.
Only car I currently pay a warranty is on my daily M140i now on nearly 65K miles. Guess what, never had to claim for anything, but I just know if I knocked it on the head, the engine would blow up!

As has been said many times - budget 3k a year. Some years you may be lucky and some you won't.

I just spoke to warrantywise & they have offered me cover that includes clutch. I’m shocked. They are going to email t&c’s.

I’ve never been one for aftermarket warranty- always banked the cash, but I’ve always had German cars. This will be my First Italian car, and basically all bills sound at least double what it would be on my 911. (And there seems to be plenty of minor gremlins)

I’m not sure it works like that.. my 360 is by far the most reliable car I have ever owned, never let me down even once in 110,000 miles. I’ve had plenty of German cars that broke down on me.
There are lots of people on here who have had trouble free GT motoring for years with little other than a service.
I get that it’s peace of mind but I honestly don’t think 2k a year is worth it. Most of the gremlins and outlay on a GT are on consumables and won’t be covered. Just budget for a 3k clutch when purchasing if it’s below 50%.

It will be for clutch failure and since the early bad batch on 4200 they rarely fail as far as I know. I would save your 2k rather than giving it to a warranty company who will then try and wriggle out of paying.
