Dum Dum. Where to buy?

Ah. This looks like the stuff. I'm pretty sure the Land Rover community must be as familiar with water ingress and what to do about it as we are with noisy suspension bushes :) So I expect this is a particularly good recommendation.
Thank you for the pointer.

That really is a blast from the past.
My advice would be go into a paint refinishing shop that supply the trade and see what's available today but the above recommendations will do the job.
Thanks for writing Phil. I thought you would know this stuff. It's been around a long time, just like files with wooden handles. Mine were my father's, so I just love it when there is a reason to use them.

Thank you all for posting your suggestions. What great company I find myself in! I now feel pretty confident that I can not only complete this part of the job, but complete it well :)

This is a non-setting sealant strip used when we replaced the DS screen. Sticks well and deforms into gaps easily. Not messy either.

must check out my own can of hand defacer. Used when rebuilding 911 back in 2003. Also have roll of "bolted panel sealer" that might do similar job, although suspect it might harden off more than dum dum.
